We believe that God has created each one of us wonderfully unique which drives what we are to be about...and in many instances, not about...as a church. During Jesus' time here on earth, He had His greatest conflict with the religious people of His day...they attempted to make the Sabbath the busiest and most cumbersome day of the week, they attempted to make the synagogues the epicenter of all society, and they placed more effort on attempting to standardize people rather than recognize the uniqueness of each person's creation. In most instances throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus spending time with and befriending ordinary people with ordinary struggles in great need of extraordinary hope and purpose.
For these reasons, FBC Jax Beach has intentionally chosen to invest in people and not programs. To those seeking truth and purpose, we welcome with open arms and are committed to journeying with you as God begins to transform you. To our membership, we are a station whose sole purpose to equip those wonderfully unique individuals in our family to be wonderfully unique in their spheres of influence. It is when we unleash God in every area of our lives and refuse to see Him as being confined to a place, a day of the week, or time of the day, that we, as Christ-followers begin to truly live out our purpose.
As a result, we "do less" in order that we may accomplish more...
9:15am............Sunday School
Through Sunday School, we open the opportunity for you to "plug-into" a small group of people in your same life-stage, going through your same needs, having your same concerns, digging deeper into Scripture together, learning together, growing together, and living life together.
10:30am.........Worship Service
Through the Worship Service, we have the opportunity to come together as entire church, a body, to worship God together through prayer, music, Scripture, and application of how the Bible speaks to real-life issues.
On various nights of the week, throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, we offer a variety of "Life Group" communities. Whereas our Sunday School is divided along lines of life-stages, these small group communities are comprised of all different life-stages throughout our church with the goal of growth along the lines of our 5 Core Values...love, risk, give, change, grow.
Our aim as a church, is not to babysit you with programs, nor is it to busy you with activities, but rather to encourage you, equip you, and partner with you as God does something in and through you as you live and impact the world that God has placed you in!
